Gerry M. Salkowski Verified downloadr. The technologies portrayed are not that far off from current reality as many such as AI are making huge strides. Simon and Brad are truly warm characters and I enjoyed the subtle humor between Brad and Ann.
The story moves along at a good pace and is very exciting using these technologies against other planets and countries on earth. I would recommend this book for teenagers as well as adults. I suspect there will be a follow on book.
One person found this helpful. A good read, did not want it to end. Good characters and enjoyed the short chapters.
This is an exciting look into the future of Space Travel and Medical possibilities. Hope there may be a future book.
I liked the setting, placed in the present, yet includes the fortuitous access to inventions and capabilities of a scientifically advanced world. The author adds to the reader's interest by including heroes and villains, threats from afar, and help from a lovable "Artificially Intelligent Simon" This is a fun book that is especially intended for the SF-phile.
This is a delightful and fast moving story interweaving human beings and artificial Intelligence. The Author has challenged the readers mind to envision the world of the future and how one might coexist and interface with AI. The book is educational, has humor, and has a no nonsense approach to the future world.
It is well worth reading. Al Patterson has written a delightful first book on the relationship between artificial intelligence and human intelligence. In a fun book, he weaves together a unique relationship between the White House and the Simon spacecraft. It's got humor, cooperation, respect, humility and excitement as each character works with unknown, to achieve good things. An uplifting read, and lens into the art of the possible, aided by good use of technology.
The fact that I reside in Bellevue, Washington and the familiarity with the names of towns and the universities in the story made me feel like I am right in the story myself. It was very interesting to find the story relating to current international issues as North and South Korea, China, Russia etc, making this novel feel topical.
As the story evolves into more intergalactic level and humans and AI find a united cause, the story moves in a new direction. I found the book very well written and readable, and the story was gripping - it was hard to put down.
Hope to see a sequel revealing who is behind the ominously powerful spacecraft with the purple beam. Great book. See all 10 reviews. site Giveaway allows you to run promotional giveaways in order to create buzz, reward your audience, and attract new followers and customers.
